The fifth chapel on the left-hand side was granted to Ludovico Branca de Firmansi in 1578 during the pontificate of Gregory XIII. His nephew, Paolo Alaleona, took it over in 1623. He, too, was a master of ceremonies, and entirely reconstructed the chapel.
