The interior is decorated with frescoes painted in the mid 19th century by Pietro Gagliardi. The nave walls above the arcades have twelve depictions of a cycle is inspired by the Glorification of Mary, and between the windows above are six women characters from the Old Testament. On the arcade pillars are five prophets.
