The nave is a long, narrow rectangular space with rounded corners. Tall, regularly spaced Corinthian columns in pink marble are embedded in the walls. Between each pair of columns, except where the chapels are, there are frescoes of angels holding symbols of the Passion, within round-headed scalloped recesses. On the columns is a very interesting set of Stations of the Cross.
