On the left side of nave next to the sanctuaary is a large fresco by Commodi of St Vitalis being tortured on the rack. Below that is the sacristy door, flanked by a pair of stucco statues in round-headed niches of St Gregory the Great and St Jerome, which are by G B Fiammeri.
