In the 17th century restoration, the original sanctuary was walled off to create a sacristy. Either side of the altar there is a doorway with a molded doorcase and a raised and slightly oversized segmental pediment on which a coat-of-arms is superimposed. Behind the pediments are internal windows helping to light the sacristy.
