On the right side wall is a fresco by Giovanni Battista Pozzo. St. Eleutherius, the 12th successor of St. Peter, was buried in this chapel. He suffered his martyrdom under Emperor Commodus (180-192 A.D.) In 1591, his remains were moved to the church of Santa Susanna at the request of Camilla Peretti. Notice that the restoration of the fresco is incomplete.
