Of the doors on the right side of the sanctuary, the only genuine one is on the left which leads into the choir above. In between these doors are very interesting ancient marble columns. They are 1st or 2nd century AD, and might have come from Greece. The ribbing on them is interrupted by bands of ancanthus leaves.
