The apse mosaic, from about 390A.D., is the oldest in Rome. The Neo-Classical high altar is decorated with three paintings by Bernardino Nocchi, made in 1803, depicting The Glory of St Pudenziana in the center and St Timotheus and St Novatus on the sides. Note the beautiful marble columns at the Triumphal arch.
