The campanile is medieval, and was not changed during the 16th century rebuilding. The bell-tower was previously a fortified tower belonging to the Pierleone family (matching the one beside their 11th century mansion across the road), but when it was abandoned it was changed into a bell-tower for the church. It has two bells which were cast in 1286.
