Tomb of King Victor Emmanuel II

In the second exedra chapel is the tomb of King Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of a united Italy. The golden lamp above the tomb burns in honor of Victor Emmanuel III, who died in exile in Alexandria, Egypt in 1947.
