Chapel of the Crucifixion
The altarpiece is Jesus Christ Crucified (13th century), fresco from the Roman school. The work is detached from the lower church, entirely repainted in oil in the 17th century. It is interesting for the Byzantine iconography that portrays Christ dressed in a long tunic. Under the altar is a large fluted porphyry vase, found in the subterranean church, and containing relics of Saints
