The painting of the Sacred Heart, the image refers to descriptions of the famous apparitions to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, in particular the third in 1675. For this picture Don Bosco gave the task to the painter Franz von Rohden. This master painter was the last of the so-called Nazarenes painters.
