The two paintings on either side of the altar are by a Neapolitan painter named Alessandro d'Elia. They depict St Augustine of Hippo and St Monica, and recall the community of Augustinian nuns here. The monochrome panels of putti above these two side paintings are original, and are by Raffaellino Motta da Reggio. He also executed SS Saturninus and Sisinnius with Putti in the same style on the right hand side wall, and SS Romanus and Augustine with Putti on the left hand side wall. The frescoes higher up on the side walls are by Federico Zuccari.
