The façade has five lower and three upper bays, divided by pairs of projecting columns. It is crowned by a tympanon, and on the upper level there is a doorway with the arms of Pope Alexander VII (Chigi). He commissioned Ercole Ferrata to make two statues of angels to be placed on the volutes connecting the two levels, but only one on the left was completed.
