Cardinal of St. Lawrence in Lucina, a Priest of the Holy Roman Church, who served in the Imperial Legation in Ferrara and on another occasion in official duties under Emperor Charles VI and King of Spain, renowned for his great magnanimity, wisdom, and firm support of the Apostolic See and the public good. His distinguished grandfather, and his management of the cities and towns within the Pontifical States, of which he was in charge, are noteworthy. He lived 85 years, 8 months, and 17 days. He died on the 18th day before the Kalends of February, 1737. Michael, Imperial Prince of Francavilla, his heir, set this up." |
